On the southern edge of Kensington Gardens you will find the Albert Memorial. It is right opposite the Royal Albert Hall. Albert, Queen Victoria's husband never really wanted a memorial after he died, but Victoria he thought he just said that, but that deep in his heart he would love to have a memorial. So in 1872 they erected this tremedously high monument in his honours.
