The Underground or Tube is the fastest way to get around London though sometimes it gets too crowded.
London consists of 6 zones. Zone 1 is Central London where business and schools are located. The more zones you intend to travel around, the more expensive the travelcard (tube ticket) is more likely to be.
You can use the tube ticket for buses also.
Just show your ticket to the bus driver as you get on.

If you're new at using tubes, it might be a bit confusing. There are several lines operating towards different directions. One line can operate in two directions but with different trains. For example, if you're catching one line, make sure what the last destination is. So you can know which direction it would go via. Please view the tube map here to see the tube lines.

Prices: (estimated)
- Single-way ticket: BP2.00 (zone 1)
- One-day ticket: BP4.70 (zone 1 & 2)
- One-week ticket: BP22.80 (zone 1)

If you are student, you must ask your college to provide a letter to get students discount on travelcards.
Personally, it's cheaper to pay for a slightly expensive accommodation in Central London rather than to live in Zone 3 or 4 where accommodation is cheaper while traveling to Central London is very costy. Some students think otherwise.

you calculate it anyway!
