  Snow fight!

Machhapuchhare Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (1 hour 30 minutes walk)

The weather wasn’t working on our side so once the snow stopped a bit we decided to keep on going. We crossed the snowline once more as we went up to the Annapurna I Base Camp (ABC, 4,130 M.A.S.L.). It became clear how unyielding the weather was when out of the blue we were engulfed by a snow storm. It felt as though a pounding blizzard was hitting us from all directions, making it one of the toughest hikes in our trek, making the hike up the Thorong La look like a walk in the park! We were walking thru about 30 centimeters (1 foot) of snow that had already accumulated on the trail en route to the ABC. More snow will fall thru the afternoon and also that night. But as you can see that didn’t stop us from having some fun!
