Kristof carries the load of a porter
by darthmilmo

Following the steep descent into town, we proceeded to cross the river to begin the steep ascent up the other end of the valley. We eventually reached Sinuwa just in time for a tea stop. Kristof switch luggage with a porter en route as he took over carrying his heavy cargo and the porter carried Kristof?s bag. The cargo weighted at about 25 kilograms and so it was tough as he carried it for 20 minutes or so. Now, imagine carrying it hours at times going up the mountain??? How do they make it? Who knows! We continued on the steep climb following the paths made up of a stone steps that went thru a subtropical rainforest and jungle. Today was cloudy and so we had no views of the valley. We passed a few lodges at 12 and decided to keep on going before lunch. We hadn?t realized how far the next town would be and so we were soon getting hungry with no site of a place to eat. Matters grow worst when the path deteriorated into a muddy mess. We eventually went down a bit until we reached the village of Bamboo. True to its name, the village is surrounded by a Bamboo forest.
