"Hilltop Haven in Marvao" Pousada Santa Maria Tip by dcwizard

While not as luxurious as some of the other pousadas in Portugal, it is definitely the best place to stay in lovely Marvao. The charming pousada is set in a cosy, whitewashed town house with traditional painted furniture. The service was excellent, food at the restaurant great, and the setting perfect.

Unique Qualities: The English-speaking staff here were the friendliest I found during my trip to Portugal. The views from my room, and from the restaurant and lounge to the surrounding valley below are amazing.
