Loggia Dei Lanzi, Florence: 37 reviews and 93 photos

The Loggia dei Lanzi (1382), designed by Orcagna, is named after the Lancers, the bodyguards of Cosimo I who were billeted here. The Loggia is filled with world class statues such as Cellini's Perseus (1554), The Rape of the Sabine Women by Giambologna (1583) and around half a dozen Roman statues, possibly of emperors.
