Where the cardo and the northern decamanus intersects, lies the northern tetrapylon. It is rather intact, with four arches topped by a dome, differing from the architecture of the southern tetrapylon. It was built as a dedication to the Syrian wife of the Emperor Septimus Severus. Further up north, lies the North Gate, at its isolated far end corner of the Gerasa site. It is not as elaborate or stunning as its Southern cousin. Built in 115 AD, it links the Cardo with the ancient city of Pella, and should be worth the detour
