Restaurants around Revolution Square: "Outdoor eating" Top 5 Page for this destination Moscow Restaurant Tip by TheWanderingCamel

You might expect the restaurants around Revolution Square to be tourist traps, with pretty mediocre food and inflated prices. I can't speak for the ones in the Okhotny Ryad Mall - though they always seemed crowded whenever we walked past, but those at the other end of the Square, across from the Hotel Metropol, are good places for a light lunch or a simple evening meal (pizza, pasta, grilled fish and meat, salads, etc), or just a beer and a snack perhaps at any time your feet need a rest. With big canvas awnings over outdoor terraces, you can watch the activity in the square as you eat when the weather is warm; inside they are attractive and unpretentious. The service is pleasant, with English menus (maybe other languages too) and prices very reasonable.
Favorite Dish: Really delicious pizzas hit the spot after a morning walking all around the nearby streets of Kitai Gorod.
Address: Near the Hotel Metropol -you can't miss them
Price Comparison: about average
Directions: The restaurant nearest the Hotel was the one we liked best.
