Sirous Tapas Bar & Restaurant: "North West London Tapas" EL ROCIO Tapas Bar & Restaurant Tip by kit_mc

On a sunny day in July it's always kind of cool to find a restaurant for an evening meal where you can eat out in the open, so we chose this Tapas place in nearby trendy West Hampstead for a change from the usual Sunday pub lunch.
The front glass doors all open out or you can sit out in the pavement if you get there early enough in the afternoon to grab a spare table. Make sure you're sitting under the canopy though as one woman came a cropper thanks to a pigeon with very good aim while we were there.
Service was fairly efficient and friendly. They add a 10% service charge to the bill so no need to tip extra as far as I'm concerned.
They also have some comfy leather sofas where you can hang out with a beer and the newspaper on a sunny weekend afternoon.
Favorite Dish: 4 tapas meat dishes, a decent sized serving of olives and two beers came to 30 quid, so for a tapas place, that tend to be a bit pricey, this isn't half bad.
Between 2 people, probably 3 dishes is actually enough to be comfortably full. Tapas dishes were around the 5 quid mark each. Also do main meals around £10 each
The meatballs in tomato sauce were surprsingly tasty and actually had some kick to them. Beware that the tortilla with chorizo isn't actually a tortilla/omellette, but is the type in a wrap. Good quality spicy chorizo though. Chicken with tzatziki (well known Spanish dish...) and pan-fried lamb chops were also impressive.
*I've also eaten their Big Breakfast here, Sunday brunch with the newspapers out in the sun. The breakfast is adequate at £4.95, not the best, not the worst I've had, pay extra for toast and coffee, but the best thing about the place is the fact that you get to sit out in the sun*
