The cathedral works museum has a series of rooms dedicated to the history of the Duomo. The main ground floor room holds statues from architect Arnolfo di Cambio's workshop which were once placed in the cathedral's niches. Nearby is Donatello's "St John". Michelangelo's "Pieta" has pride of place on the staircase. The hooded figure of Nico-demus is widely believed to be a self-portrait.

Address: Piazza del Duomo 9
