Marco's Supper Club - Closed: "Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone!" Seattle Restaurant Tip by Sunshine64

Sadly, Marco decided to retire and the restaurant has closed. Word on the street is that the folks from Black Bottle will be opening something new in the space.

Marco's is one of Seattle's best kept secrets. It has a very unassuming entry, across the street from the highly-obvious El Goucho (the best steakhouse in Seattle) - which is about 3 times the price of a good meal at Marco's.

The atmosphere is dark and cozy. The owner, Marco, often greets you, seats you, or puts bread on your bread plate.

There's also a patio out back when the weahter is good.

Favorite Dish: Ask people about Marco's, and they will mention the fried sage leaves. They are unique, and you should try them, but I am personally not a fan.

Marco's menu is average sized to small. They always have steak on the menu, and it is delicious. My last meal at Marco's was Copper River Salmon with Morell mushrooms, which was wonderful.

For desert have the Chocolate Pots de Creme - made with Belgian chocolate. TO DIE FOR!

The wine list has a good combination of reasonably priced wines, which Marco selects himself.

In a city where over-priced food is the norm, Marco's provides a great value for outstanding food.
