Whale Wall at OLD PORT, Maine. Portland
by ladyanne

Portland is the most diversified city you can find. It's wealth of the city life and it's waterfront port are truly charming.

This is the "Whale Wall" painted in the 1980's by Robert Wyland. He painted murals like this at many seaports or Large lake cities all over the United States. Also another example of the great old stone buidlings in the background. This wall is opposite the entrance to the Casco Bay Ferry Lines.

You must take time to take a trip out to the islands on the Casco Bay Ferry Lines at the end of Franklin St. and on Commerical St. Waterfront.
