"The most recognizable building in the world?" Empire State Building Tip by wreckloose
Empire State Building, New York City: 373 reviews and 609 photos
The famous Empire State Building, which is an NYC Landmark, soars more than a quarter of a mile into the atmosphere above the heart of Manhattan.
Check out the observatory, which is located on the 86th floor, 1,050 feet (320 meters) above the city's streets, and you'll definately get the best view of the city. This is the same observatory where Cary Grant waited (in vain, might I add) for Deborah Kerr in the movie, "Affair to Remember". It's also where Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan had their fateful meeting in the movie "Sleepless in Seattle". The observatory is also handicap accessible.
