"Norsk Folkemuseum" Norwegian Folk Museum Tip by bpwillet
Norwegian Folk Museum, Oslo: 54 reviews and 133 photos
This is truly overwhelming. The entire museum is open air and filled with native farmhouses and storage buildings that were used in the 17th and 18th centuries around Norway. There are some notable areas in the park that should not be missed of note are the Gol Stave Church and the Gamlebyen. The collection of various houses from the different parts of Norway will take you through Norway?s past of communal life and will give you a glimpse of historic Norwegian life. The exhibition hall at the entrance shows traditional Norwegian folk art, traditional costumes from different areas around Norway, as well as domestic tools and farming tools.
