  Wheel of Life-Vigeland's Park
by bpwillet

Named after sculptor Gustav Vigeland, this is Oslo?s largest park. It is home to over 200 sculptures depicting life in its various stages. The statues are in bronze and granite and are along the main access area to the park. On either end are some noteworthy statues as well. It took 26 years to be completed, which Vigeland himself never saw before his death. The sculpture in the picture is of the work Wheel of Life (Livshjulet). Modeled in 1934 it symbolizes eternity and uses man, woman and child all holding on to one another.
