"Cabrillo National Monument" Cabrillo National Monument Tip by Ken_Weaver

Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego: 46 reviews and 120 photos

Take an afternoon and go to the monument park. It cost $5 to go into the park during it's operating hours but I have been there past 5 pm and you can drive in and see the incredible view and the statue.

The monument is honoring the Spanish discoverer , Juan Cabrillo, who was the first Westerner to visit the bay of San Diego. The statue overlooks the bay and the city.

Address: 1800 Cabrillo Memorial Drive
Directions: Take Rosencranz west from I-5 and follow the signs to Pt Loma and the Monument.
