"East Princes Street Gardens" Princes Street Gardens Tip by Nemorino

Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh: 65 reviews and 141 photos

At the foot of the Scott Monument you can relax in the East Princes Street Gardens, on the slope going down towards Waverley Station.

Historically, this area once contained the filthy stagnant waters of "The Nor' Loch", which fortunately was drained a few hundred years ago and turned into this attractive park.

The building in the background off to the left is the Balmoral Hotel.
