"Save Money, See London, take the bus." Public Buses Tip by addot

Public Buses, London: 183 reviews and 208 photos

We wanted to travel from our Hotel in Bayswater (near Paddington) to see St. Paul's. Instead of the tube, we decided to try taking the bus. This turned out to be a very enjoyable way to get around. For the very low cost of a bus fare, we got to ride around much of central London for 45 minutes from the top level of a traditional London double decker bus. The view from these is quite nice, and using my map and guide book, I could tell where were and what we were seeing. The trip was quite slow, as London traffic is notoriously congested, but if you are not in a hurry, it can be a relaxing and very inexpensive way to see a good part of the city.
