Favorite thing: The main entrance into the Giardini Publici (the Public Gardens) is from Via Garibaldi, which is the only street (via) in the whole town of Venice. As Francesco (Effetti) explained to me, all other streets of the town are called campos, cale, etc, exept the one which is named after Garibaldi. Very interesting, you have to admit it.

Fondest memory: The green area of Public Gardens was created in Napoleonic times and altered in the 19th century. The large pavilions are location of the Biennial Exibition of Contemporary Art.
