  Palazzo Barbieri

The Piazza Bra is the square right in front of the Arena. This central square of the city dates back to the roman empire. During our visit there were interesting performances of dancers and musicians at the square. It was very lifely with lots of people strolling around, looking at the performances, listening to the music and eating and drinking at the terraces.

Besides the Arena, which dominates the square, there are several cafes and bars along the square. At the eastern edge of the square, stands the neoclassical City Hall. This building, the palazzo Barbieri was built in the 19th century.
