"A Perfect Symbol" Colosseum Tip by OttoMarzo

Colosseum, Rome: 495 reviews and 944 photos

The Colosseo is the perfect symbol of Rome. There's a reason if it's the first thing you think about when you're gonna think of Rome. It represents Rome and Romans perfectly. It's the first stadium of the world, it shows you how much romans like to enjoy life and entertainment, it shows the majesty of the Empire, the sense of eternal life. Emperors understood that to keep romans' mood high they had to provide them shows and organized entertainment. More than 100.000 people could have fun there before a rich roman family bought it and took pieces away to build up their own building. I hate Barberini family! Go watch the Colosseo, get inside and read as much as you can about its history.
