  Loggia Mosque
by steventilly

The Loggia Mosque stands opposite Hippocrates Plane Tree. No longer an actual mosque its ground floor is occupied by a variety of (mostly trinket) shops. The one at the end nearest the minarette is the most impressive simply because it is an arcade that runs right through that side of the building.
Around the mosque are even more trinket stalls, its something of a magnet for that kind of thing, no doubt because of the large number of tourists who pass this way.
The building itself is an absolute gem, despite being in a slight state of disrepair. The detailing on the upper floor windows is exquisite, as is the stonework in general. This was probably my favourite building in Kos Town.
