"Friends of The Cyprus Donkey" Limassol Things to Do Tip by clmbsb

Limassol Things to Do: 49 reviews and 100 photos

This is a Donkey Sanctuary that is in the little village of Vouni on your way into the Troodhos mountains. It is a lovely place that cares for old, sick and unwanted donkeys from all over Cyprus. There are lots of donkeys there for you to see and feed, treats can be bought from the little shop for 50c.

This is a very well worth charity as donkeys are still used in Cyprus to do lots of farm work etc etc. We visited and had a wonderful 2 hours watching and feeding the donkeys. If you ring ahead or sponsor a donkey you could also take them out for a walk.

All details on how to find them and more about what they do can be found at the website, address below.

This place is well worth a vist as not only are you helping a worthy cause the trip into the mountains is wonderful too.
