"A whole region to exlpore" Bath Things to Do Tip by littlebush

Bath Things to Do: 486 reviews and 941 photos

i had a weekend in bath but used it as a base to explore the region surrounding bath.....in bath i did:

Roman Baths- ancient roman baths-very impressive to see, you get an audio guide to guide yourself, its about 10.

In the region i also visited:

Wells-englands smallest city with a lovely peacful atmosphere, and a great cathedral. nearby is wookey hole, a big cave, which is good but you have to do a tour which is very childish!

Cheddar-Cheddar i lovely, and its full of cheese! the gorge is superb scenery, and you can go into goughs cave and cox's cave, better than wookey hole, you can get a ticket for about 10 which includes entry to them all and a free bus tour, plus entry to a prehistoric man exhibition which is good. i also did the 2 hour 3 mile gorge walk which is great scenery!

Weston Super Mare - this is a seaside town but has a huge beach and is ok to visit for a day. i had some yummy fish and chips from winstons on the seafront.

Glastonbury-famous for the festival, the town is very pretty, you can get a bus to the Tor for great views around.

Stonehenge, about 45min from bath but still worth the visit, it has an eerie feel to it! it needds no introduciton! its 5.50!
