Born in 1471 Albrecht Dürer is widely regarded as Germany's greatest Renaissance artist. He is considered an Old Master, and was born, bred and died in Nüremberg. His name is proudly boasted around the city, and his work adorns a number of buildings and also resides in the vast Germanisches Nationalmuseum. Here, in the house that he lived in from 1509 until his death in 1528, is a museum that charts the life of this great artist. There are multimedia presentations and tours, some led by an actress playing the part of Albrecht's wife.
