  Lochmaben Castle
by stevezero

Today there are only the scant remains of the castle which sits near the Loch. It was built by the English in the 14th century and extensively rebuilt by James IV of Scotland (1488 - 1513).
It was largely dismantled after its capture by James VI in 1588.
You can also see the earthworks which are visible around the masomary walls.
