"Lundy Ponies" Top 5 Page for this destination Fauna Tip by grets

Fauna, Lundy Island: 3 reviews and 3 photos

  great big heap of sh1t!

The ponies were originally a cross between New Forest and Welsh Mountain , but now they are recognised as a official breed. The animals are 13½ hands high and a beautiful fawn colour.

The presence of many ponies means that the island is not short of manure. I was very impressed that they are so well trained that they actually use the same place each time, creating the great big heap of manure seen in the photo. lol
