  Lincoln's Conspirators
by pabertra

The only known representation of the Lincoln conspirators is housed in the Ben-Hur Musuem in Crawfordsville. The first man on the lower left is John Wilkes Booth, his assassin, the man next to him was a doctor who many believe was wrongly indicted. During Booth's get away he suffered a broken leg and as he fled into the countryside he found this country doctor to treat his leg. The doctor had no idea that Booth had just assassinated the President of the United States of America, so he treated his broken leg and let him go on his way. Later, after the ordeal was over the doctor was indicted and spent 7 years in prison. His family still works to try and clear his name.

Address: Located in the Ben-Hur Musuem in Crawfordsville
