We arrived a little tired from our 2 mile walk to town and starving as our flight was at 7:30 am and too early for breakfast before departure. We walked the streets of Heimaey, looking for somewhere to eat and asked a local to point us in the direction of the nearest cafe. he sent us here to a bakery with wonderful warm rolls and butter where I tasted my first caramel covered donut....
