The National Monument, which depicts a group of soldiers holding up a national flag, was constructed in 1966 and was designed by Austrian sculptor Felix de Weldon, who was also responsible for the famed Iwo Jima Memorial Monument in Washington

It commemorates those who had sacrificed their lives in the cause of peace and freedom

Weekdays 7 am - 6 pm
Weekends & Public Holidays 7 am - 6 pm

Address: Near to national Mosque and Lake garden
Directions: Frm city, just board any bus that is going to Damansara and alight at the Lake Gardens bus stop. If you're coming from Petaling Jaya, board any city-bound bus that goes through Damansara. Stop at Padang Merbok
