Rang Mahal is easily the nicest Indian restaurant in Singapore, actually it's a chain with restaurants in other countries. It's very high end Indian fare, supposedly rated by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the best 100 restaurants. The restaurant is beautiful-you can tell it took a lot to design/furnish the place. When you get your menu and see the prices you may have sticker shock. My husband took me here for our anniversary. It was nice, but not worth the price. You can get similiar quality food at other restaurants for far less. They have a few set menus, we got their thali (rice with, usually some cups of vegetables, dal, etc)served on a designer glass plate. Usually you can get these in Little India for a few bucks-there's was $55. It was good, but in my opinion not worth it. They have a great, but overpriced wine list. Service was alright at first and fell apart after our thalis were served. This is a good place to go if the company is paying.
