The nice south side of the building was built in the 1740-1770 by Jean Nicolas Jadot and franz Anton Hillebrandt; the east side of the palace was ended in 1890-1915 by Miklos Ybl and Alajos Hauszmann. The Royal Palace was destroyed during the Russian siege in the 1944-45. Today the palace is restored and inside it there are three nice museums.
The palace is 304 metres long and it has got a central cupola.
