"Key Largo - John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park" Florida Things to Do Tip by ant1606
Florida Things to Do: 565 reviews and 970 photos
From this location depart glass-bottom boats that in about one hour reach the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Here the coral reef is visible, at least what's left of it. In the recent years there has been a great reduction of living star and brain corals activity.
These two parks are adjacent and are the first underwater parks established in the country to protect and preserve a portion of the only living coral reef in the continental US.
Park visitor center provides comprehensive information.
