  Six Pence Pub, Savannah
by Dutchnatasja

On the corner of Bull Street and Liberty you?ll find the Six Pence Pub. A little bit of England nestled in hot, humid downtown Savannah. With large glass windows up front overlooking the sidewalk patio, you will surely find this pub to be very inviting and comfortable. The vintage pub signs from England in the Six Pence also do much to promote the British feel of the place. The menu offers great pub grub including nachos, salads, sandwiches, and even bangers and mash with beef and Guinness mushroom pie. Beer fans can sample the likes of Boddingtons, Guinness, Strongbow Cider, and Bass on draft along with bottled English favourites such as Murphy?s Stout, Harp, Newcastle, Sam Smith?s Ales, and Boddingtons. Happy hour is Monday through Friday 5 to 7 pm, and opening times are 11:30 am daily with the kitchen open until midnight. The restaurant closes about midnight, but the bar stays open later. Sit at the bar, enjoy a wonderful ale, and engage in a chat with a local -- the Six Pence will certainly make you feel at home.
