This large green space of well cut green grass, on my picture, reminded me golf courses, I saw, both in Poland and in... Morocco or Tunisia. Well, it was too flat and the hired golf-carts were allowed only on some asphalted roads of the Sigurta Gardens. The grass was neither that perfect as at golf courses nor as soft as in some US city parks (Del Mar, southern California!). No wonder, a neat lawn is mostly a new feature of Italian culture (you know - a lot of water, work and patience needed), although Austrians or even French could learn Italians... Hmm... Italians even don't have a single word for a lawn, "il prato all'inglese" instead, which means an English meadow, right? I would rather call this large green space "il campo di erbi" in Italian :-)

This sunny space was used by some visitors as a beach for getting some tan or... warning white-like-water-lily northerners - burning. And the place was just too public for any more private activities. We just crossed it.
