Favorite thing: As well as wonderful flower gardens, most houses had vegetable gardens, with every vegetable you could think of growing in some corner or another. As I am into vegetable gardening I felt very envious of seeing such things as peppers and aubergines growing so easily in the Greek climate. To grow these in England I would need a greenhouse, which I don't have.

Fondest memory: Wandering along little lanes, admiring gardens and properties in small villages.
