by Helga67

Tortuguero is a remoted area at the Caribbean Coast. There is a small town called Tortuguero, a small airport and a national park with the same name. The park is made up by a system of natural and man-made canals that serve as waterways for transportation and exploration. Here you will find hundreds of birds, monkeys, caymans, and 3 kinds of turtles that lay their eggs on the beaches. Most tourists are coming here on a package deal because it is almost impossible to get to the place by yourself.

Directions: At the Caribbean Coast, just beneath Nicaragua.
