Our Corner of the Pain Beni Restaurant
by Bwana_Brown

When we checked into our Auberge on the first day in Quebec City, we elected to take breakfast in their adjoining Pain Beni restaurant for C$5 each. We were down very soon after their 8 AM opening time, and were just about the only customers there. This restaurant shares the same main doorway with the Auberge Place D'Armes and is run by the same staff.

Favorite Dish: In this arrangement, you are served a fixed course meal at your table. In our case, it turned out to be fresh Orange Juice and Coffee (although hot water was brought for the ladies tea!). A nice bowl of pieces of pineapple, watermelon, canteloupe, peach and grapes in juice made up the main course, along with a croissant with fresh strawberry/rhubarb sauce and chocolate filled pastry. Actually, it was quite good value!
