Favorite thing: I was 20 something when I woke up in the morning and saw that my face was all swollen. So I went to the doctor who also lived on the Voorstraat and he diagnosed: mumps!
What to do, I asked? Nothing! he replied cheerfully. I came home, went to bed and was really sick for a week or so. Mumps is really terrible when you're an adult. It hurt a lot!
