"Check which airport you are flying to..." London Warnings Or Dangers Tip by morgenhund

London Warnings and Dangers: 667 reviews and 459 photos

London is a big city, and therefore has for various reasons several airports. I used to try and get the ticket for the cheapest flight, which invariably meant Stansted, although on occasions I flew from Luton - both of which might be advertised as being London airports but are far from it. I would advice against trying to fly into one London airport and, unless you are flying into Gatwick and on from Heathrow, then getting another flight on the same day from another airport. The airport transfers are very expensive (e.g. Stansted Express GBP 24 return), slow and may leave you with frayed nerves. My advice would be to pay the little bit extra to fly to Heathrow, and/or London City and save by getting the tube into town.
