"The amphitheatre, the plan" Susa Things to Do Tip by JLBG

Susa Things to Do: 49 reviews and 105 photos

I was at first surprised by the size of the Susa Amphitheater (locally called "arena"). I should not have, reminding that Susa is and has always been a small city and even if it had a main strategic place, it had to seat an audience of a few hundred, may be a thousand, but not more. Is it the smallest Roman amphitheater ? Why not ? Remember 37m x 45m ! If you know a smaller one, please, let me know !
