"Cathedral Ranges National Park (Legend, Wine & ..." State of Victoria Things to Do Tip by leffe3

State of Victoria Things to Do: 159 reviews and 358 photos

About 10kms north of Marysville, Cathedral Ranges is one of Victoria's smallest national parks. But what it lacks in size, it more than makes up elsewhere.

There's some spectacular gorge and rock scrambling treks (ranging from easy to moderate) as well as being a popular rock climbing destination. Vegetation varies enormously, as does wildlife. But the whole is dominated by the Range itself - a 7km continual razor-sharp outcrop reaching approximately 800 metres.

Directions: Maroondah Highway - half way between Melbourne and Alexandra.
