After crossign the gate you are like in other world. Peace is everywhere and you feel like at that very moment all the world has stopped. Here you find nice gardens, nice façades. The Begijnhof was built in 1346. There is a church and also one of the most ancient buildings in Amsterdam: Het Houten Huys (the wooden house, 1477)
