"Old Hong Kong on Kowloon Island" Hiking Tip by SamLilley

Hiking, Hong Kong: 37 reviews and 38 photos

Okay Take the Kwun Tong line to a place called Choi Hung.
Take the exit that leads away from all the shops but leads to one. (its called Okay!)
Take a left in the underground tunnel up the steps.
And turn back on yourself at the top.
Take the Mini Bus 11. Should cost $5 Hk
allright chill out on the bus.
You'll start to head up a moutain.
And eventually come across a Petrol station at the second petrol station, Shout
Tseng Lan Shue (Mmgou) the driver will Signal if he understands and should stop at Tseng Lan Shue Village.
You have two options you can either cross the road and take the Wilson trail towards Tseng Kwan O.
or take the Wilson Trail to Sai Kung.
Option one gives you some very Beautifull Semi-moutain views and a real taste of Old School HK.
The second option takes you through the village follow the sign posts and you'll end up at some stairs leading into the Jungle.
Your adventure begins!!!!
Just follow the path (can be challanging for older folk) you eventually have a choice either walk up for a Gorgeous Cemetary with great views of Sai Kung and a crazy "Spirited Away" style feel.
Or go down and continue your walk down the valley.
This is very Beautifull all the choices are good ones i cant stress how much you should do this.
If you need help you can contact me I Live in Tseng Lan Shue village.
