This magnificent group of Romanesque buildings, 1 km from Figueres (and 26 km from l'Escala), is one of the best-preserved examples to be found in Catalonia of the architecture of mediaeval regular canons.

The 3-aisled church, dating from the end of the 11th century, with an elegant campanile in the Lombard style (12th century) and the cloister (12th-13th centuries), in which the arrangement of the various monastic rooms is perfectly preserved, form a soberly beautiful and harmonious group of buildings.

The exceptional 14th-century silver cross kept in the church is particularly worth seeing.
