"Kangaroos & wallabies" Australia Favorite Tip by keeweechic

Australia General: 527 reviews and 649 photos

Favorite thing: Kangaroos and Wallabies are marsupials but unlike the koala and wombat, they have forward opening pouches. While they are found throughout Australia there are many varieties which are found in their respective environments. Red Kangaroos are found on the flat open plains. Grey kangaroos prefer denser scrubs and forests. Rock wallabies live among clusters of bounders, rocky cliffs and hills. In all there are around some 45 species of kangaroos and wallabies.
