  Florian Gate

The tower of St Florian?s Gate was actually built before the remaining parts of the city walls, at the end of the 13th Century. It is thirty-three metres tall and has a Baroque roof that was added in 1657. The gate represents the entrance to the Old City and was the original entrance to what is known as the Royal Route, as it was the entrance that the Kings and Queens went through on the way to Wawel Castle.
