  We're just wild about Harry

Favorite thing: Lygon Street. Australia's best street for restaurants. Period. Others may try to copy but none have achieved quite the same ambience though Perth's Northside comes close.

Fondest memory: Imagine al fresco dining, a small gap and then the main restaurant. Imagine this going block after block. Imagine getting hassled as your pass each cafe by the spivs. Now you're getting the image.
I love it. It's one of the must-do things when you're in Melbourne. If you only have one night out to dine then it should be at Lygon Street. Predominantly Italian but there are many other national dishes you can try.
We got caught up with Harry, the tout for Piccolo Mondo, who hustled us to a table and befriended us in such a manner that when we left he embraced Rosemarie on at least two occasions and enthusiastically shook my hand more than once.
You have to love an experience like that. Oh.....and the food was great also.
