Puritama's Thermal baths is a beautiful place where to rest, with a basic infrastructure consisted of dressing-rooms, baths and gangplanks of wood, mixed with the vegetation that hangs on the edges.

Puritama means warm water. Everything in the zone smells to purity and spiritual cleanliness. Probably because of it the villagers decided to give this name.
This sector former visited by aborigines incaicos, is located in the way towards the Geysers del Tatio, in an abrupt gully, which on having descended, possesses vegetation and a puddle that measures approximately 8 mts. of diameter and that has been formed by the abundance of internal tempered waters ( about 30°C). The medicinal properties of the water are indicated for the rheumatism and muscular pains.

These baths are an experience difficult to forget for the lovers of the thermal waters in desert .
The tour takes 5 hours and the entrance costs 8-9 dollars.

Directions: Located 30 Km to the north of San Pedro de Atacama.
