My husband and I stayed at the Novotel in Cusco, Peru during the first week of May, 2005. The hotel is beautiful, with an enclosed atrium that you can sit in at any time of the day or night. They have tables and chairs set up to dine at and they also have some comfy sofas and coffee tables that you can lounge at while drinking the coca tea that they provide for you 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. The rooms were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the showers. They have a nice selection of cable channels that show plenty of English speaking shows. The service was great (room service too!). The food was good and breakfast was included every day. The only downside was that checkout is at 9am. The good thing is that they'll hold your bags for you while you kill time before your ride to the airport or train station.

Unique Qualities: The enclosed atrium was great. It's glass enclosed, so even at night, you feel like you're sitting outside, under the stars. The coca tea that was provided 24/7 was also a great thing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and many of them spoke English well. Our room faced an inner garden, so it was nice and quiet.
